Strength in community

In collaboration with WHAI Ontario and LOOP agency, I created a series of three illustrated posters designed to support the rollout of their HIV Prevention Medication resource. These posters are displayed across health and HIV support centres throughout Ontario—spaces where women and gender-diverse people access care, guidance, and community. The goal was to create visuals that feel both informative and emotionally resonant, encouraging people to engage with the resource in a way that feels approachable, affirming, and empowering.

approach & inspiration

The visual direction centers strength, resilience, and care. Each poster features a trio of women or gender-diverse individuals—collectively representing African, Caribbean, and Black women, Indigenous women, and gender-diverse and disabled communities.

Rather than relying on literal representation, the illustrations use simplified, expressive forms and tone-on-tone colour palettes to communicate diversity and inclusivity. Inspired by softness and solidarity, the figures are depicted in ways that feel grounded yet powerful—creating a visual language that is feminine, warm, and deeply community-oriented. The result is a series that holds space for visibility, dignity, and connection while supporting conversations around HIV prevention.
