sore thumb calendar

A Year in bloom

For 2026, I worked with the Sore Thumb team to create a custom illustrated calendar designed to feel thoughtful and celebratory. Centered around the theme Flowers in Bloom, the calendar serves as a visual companion through the year—marking time with colour, growth, and moments of quiet joy.

approach & Inspiration

Together, we developed a concept that reflects the rhythms of blooming—change, renewal, and seasonality. The illustrations are inspired by flowers that bloom across different seasons in Canada, capturing subtle shifts throughout the year. I created three original pieces that bring this idea to life, each representing a different stage of growth. Printed in risograph, the layered textures and vibrant colours add a tactile, organic quality that echoes the beauty of both flowers and printmaking. The result is a piece that feels warm, expressive, and made to be lived with over time.

If you liked this project, you’ll love these!
