Colouring Everyday Commutes

Selected through the City of Richmond Public Art Program, I designed two illustrated utility box wraps titled “Along the River, Among the Flowers”, celebrating the city's unique relationship with nature and community. Inspired by the everyday moments and local landscapes that make Richmond feel like home, one artwork depicts a woman and her dog enjoying a picnic among blooming flowers, while the other follows salmon swimming upstream through the Fraser River watershed.

Together, the designs explore themes of belonging, resilience, and connection, highlighting the coexistence of people, wildlife, and the natural environments that shape the city's identity. Through bold colours, organic forms, and approachable imagery, the art wraps transform everyday infrastructure into moments of warmth, curiosity, and reflection for those passing by.
